You can upgrade yours or buy several new. You can also buy droids that help you with fire, or restore your armor and energy. If you see you are not successful in the fight enough, use some rockets. Don't forget to gather them during the combat or buy in the main ship. There are some different ship chassis, and if you buy them you can benefit from more powerful battery, larger rocket dock and more droid units. Of course, there is a secret weapon that should be gained part by part as you pass the levels. Astro Avenger 2 has extremely cool 3D graphics. Broken enemy ships fall apart, cannon platforms move up and down, some of hostile ships transform, and explosions are bright and worth seeing. Music is a severe battle hymn and all sounds fit space adventure. The movie in the beginning is also very cool. And you can choose difficulty level to train yourself or have some hardcore action.
